Yellow Ribbon Youth Suicide Prevention Program, Chicagoland Chapter

Cause Description:
The Yellow Ribbon Youth Suicide Prevention Program, Chicagoland Chapter is dedicated to saving lives through the use of the Yellow Ribbon Card to eliminate youth suicide. We distribute Yellow Ribbon Cards that carry the message that people do care and will help to schools, clubs, churches, and other youth organizations in the Chicago area. The front of the card reads 'this ribbon is a lifeline! It carries the message that there are those who care and will help! If you are in need and don't know how to ask for help, take this card to a counselor, teacher, clergy, parent or friend and say: 'I need to use my Yellow Ribbon.'' the back of the card reads, 'this card is a cry for help!' and gives information on how to go about helping someone and has a national crisis hotline number. From 1994 to 2000 the Yellow Ribbon Program has documented proof of saving over 1,500 lives worldwide. Please help us put a stop to youth suicide in Chicago and the world.
