Cause Description:
We believe like Microsoft's Corporate Giving Guidelines " If you provide the tools people need, they will do great things." The Columbia Free-Net was the first Community Network in the State of Washington providing free e-mail services and free access to the Internet and community information. Beyond access Community Technology Centers were developed that provide equipment and training to the low income, non-English speaking families, Migrant Workers, sight impaired, disabled, young and old. Truly a grass roots, community driven Community Network, funding comes from local donations and volunteers are instrumental in all of the RECA Foundation programs.
