SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, established in 1956, was the first free-standing, nonprofit pediatric hospital in the world. Our mission is: “Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God.” Everyone at Glennon shows the extra sensitivity & understanding needed by children & their families, and we care for kids in very special ways. Our physicians are pediatricians or pediatric subspecialists. Our nurses are pediatric nurses. Our equipment is designed for kids of all sizes -- from the tiniest preemie to full-sized adolescents. And Glennon is a teaching hospital, affiliated with St. Louis University Schools of Medicine & Nursing. By furthering pediatric education, we are caring for children today & the future.
