Birthline dba Women's Resource Center, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, incorporated in 1990. Our center, Women's Resource Center, is a place for women to come for help in a crisis pregnancy, or if they think they are pregnant. We provide pregnancy tests, confidential counseling, material help (maternity and baby clothing and supplies, community referals, etc.) all at NO COST to our clients. We also provide educational resources related to our services for our community and a large surrounding area. Our Executive Director Rita Williams is paid a salary and all other staff are volunteer. North Platte, NE (pop. 25,000) is the largest city in the Western 2/3's of the state. We served almost 300 clients in 2001. We are supported only by financial contributions, and our community supports us well.
