XP Grupo Luz de Esperanza (XP Light of Hope Group) exists to increase awareness about Xeroderma Pigmentosum and to provide support to help children and adults living with this severe condition. XP is a genetic condition that causes a severe sensitivity to light leading to increased risk of skin cancers, blindness, and other medical problems. All organization funds are allocated to program costs for outreach efforts and direct assistance services. Contributions fund awareness through our bilingual website and with educational materials distributed locally and internationally. We provide critical support with gifts of UV protection equipment and clothing, and other vital items to prevent serious skin and eye damage.
