Cause Description:
The Lions District 14A Charitable Foundation was founded in 2012 and is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to improve the quality of life of the blind, vision and hearing impaired, and physically handicapped in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties, Pennsylvania. Lions District 14A is a sub division of Lions Clubs International, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and is comprised of approximately 1600 Lions members in 65 Lions Clubs throughout the 4-county area. The Lions 14A Foundation responds to requests for assistance from various sources in the four county area including individuals, Lions Clubs, governmental agencies, relating to various visual, hearing and physical needs such as eye exams, eye glasses, hearing aids, special computers and readers for the blind. Most requests handled by the Lions 14A Foundation are financially too large for the local Lions Club to handle or are in areas where there is no Lions Club. Assistance is primarily provided to those in financial need. The Foundation Board of Directors consists of nine (9) Lions Club members from throughout the four county area
