Wycliffe Bible Translators
Since our founding in 1934, Wycliffe has helped to complete nearly 500 Scripture translations, making God’s Word available to more than 35 million people. But the translation task is not yet completed—not even close! The charts and statistics here show the immense need around the world for Bible translation.
Wycliffe is helping meet the goal:

We are currently working in 1,095 languages.
We have worked in a total of 1,571 language projects.
Number of Wycliffe personnel: more than 5,155 active members plus more than 600 others preparing for service.
Countries of orgin of personnel: 46. About 30% come from countries other than the USA.
Personnel needed: more than 1,500. There are ongoing needs for linguists/translators, literacy specialists, as well as for a broad variety of support roles.
Role of national Bible translation organizations: We have the privilege of cooperating with more than 14 national Bible translation organizations around the world.
Our goal is to help begin translation work among every remaining people group within this generation. Would you like to play a part in providing God’s Word to those without it, either through prayer, giving or overseas service?
