AIDS Walk Chicago. AIDS Walk began in Chicago in 1989 and has provided vital services such as medical care, housing, food, counseling, spiritual support, as well as education, and prevention programs to thousands of men, women, and children who live with the HIV and AIDS. Over 30,000 people participate annually raising over $1.5 million. AIDS Walk Chicago is one of the Midwest's most recognizable, fundraising events. People of all ages and cultures from Chicagoland and throughout the Midwest participate in what has become an annual family event.
