Appalachian Outreach is a variety of Christian poverty relief ministries to poverty-level people who live in a four county area of East Tennessee. Individuals, community org., and church groups provide volunteer labor to work in parternership with the people in need. Ministries include the A.O. Ministires Center, a homeless shelter called Samaritan House, home repair, children, Hispanic, educational, counseling, recycling, computer training, clothing, food, furniture ministries. Established 1984.
