Cause Description:
The U.S. government will be forced to euthanize over 20 special-needs endangered desert tortoises because of budget cutbacks. We are expanding our Oregon sanctuary to save and care for 20 of these tortoises. Working with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, we will bring the tortoises from Nevada to sanctuary. By Spring 2014, we must build habitat enclosures and burrows to keep the tortoises safe.
