Cause Description:
Rabbit Welfare & Education organization. Rescue of rabbits at risk of death, abuse & neglect; adoptions; free care information & education seminars, local vet referrals. All Zooh rescues are spayed or neutered, litter box trained, socialized and placed as house pets only' they have a home for life if that is what they need. We are in the first stage of setting up a spay/neuter supplemental fund for rabbits and their people. We supply local pet stores/vet offices with free Rabbit Care pamphlets and make ourselves available to the public to answer questions and give referrals on all aspects of rabbit welfare. Supplying these stores is COSTLY, yet we must expand our program in order to educate the public and save rabbitlives! At present, 8 out of 10 rabbits are abandoned or die within the first six months of their post-purchase lives. Educating people with regards to rabbit behaviors and needs is the way to stop this... please help us save lives!
