Cause Description:
School on Wheels is the only organization in Southern California dedicated to overcoming the many barriers to education faced by homeless children. Our major focus is to provide one-on-one volunteer tutors to children living in shelters, motels, cars, and on the streets. We also give the children new backpacks filled with school supplies, provide school uniforms, bus tokens, and assistance in enrolling in school.
