Dogs abandoned in shelters are not always there as a result of something 'they' did. A shelter is not doggie jail or punishment for doing something wrong. Sometimes people become unable to care for their companion. Illness in the family, moving, the dog's hair doesn't match the carpet or furniture, having a new human baby, and the death of the caretaker often are reasons a dog finds itself in need of a new home. Please consider these factors when considering adopting. A companion is a companion for life!
