Cause Description:
St. Anthony is home to a total of twelve programs, which serve homeless and low-income San Franciscans. · Our best-known program is the Dining Room where over 2000 meals are served 365 days a year. · The Employment Program/Learning Center offers classes in computers, literacy, math, and life skills. · Madonna Residence for senior women; a drop-in center called the Living Room; and the Senior Outreach and Support Services program provide assistance to San Francisco elderly. · Fifty-five homeless women receive shelter and transitional housing at our Marian Residence. · All St. Anthony guests are welcome to utilize the services of the Social Work Center. · Our drug and alcohol treatment programs–St. Anthony Farm, Covenant House and Seton Hall–average a daily count of 100 men and women. · The Clothing and Furniture Program annually provides over 1,700 families and individuals with free clothing, furniture and household items. · The Justice Education and Advocacy Program offers volunteer opportunities and informational sessions on the issues of poverty and social justice. · We also operate a Free Medical Clinic where medical professionals provide 15,000 patient visits each year at no charge.
