Cause Description:
HSPC was chartered in 1946 to provide a temporary refuge for homeless, injured, abandoned, and abused animals, and to place such animals in new homes with responsible and caring owners. We are dedicated to preventing all forms of cruelty to animals by every legitimate means, to encouraging stronger anti-cruelty laws, and to teaching the philosophy of "reverence for life" through humane education. HSPC is a not-for-profit charitable organization which depends solely on public contributions which are tax deductible as allowed by law. We do not destroy healthy or treatable animals in our care.
