Cause Description:
WACDTF is an all volunteer, non-violent pro-choice organization guaranteeing women's access to safe, legal abortion. WACDTF provides escorts at clinics in the DC metro area every Saturday morning, to protect women from harassment and intimidation. New volunteers are always needed - trainings are held monthly. During the Roe versus Wade anniversary period (January 21 - 23 in 1999), many extra volunteers are needed. Many anti-choice activists come to the DC area, and some may try to blockade (close down) area clinics. Trainings are held frequently in January: call the hotline or send an email to wacdtf@wacdtf.org.
