The Arlington Outdoor Education Association,Inc. (AOEA) owns and maintains the Phoebe Hall Knipling Outdoor Laboratory (The Outdoor Lab). The Outdoor Lab consists of over 200 acres of forests, fields and hills maintained for the Arlington Public School children to learn science, outdoor skills, arts, and humanities in a natural setting. The Outdoor Lab provides hands-on outdoor and environmental education to more than 9,000 students from elementary grades through high school.
