Friends of Animals is a no-kill cat and dog shelter founded in 1983 in West Los Angeles. We are a non-profit placement organization run entirely by volunteers, and all our funding comes from private donations and fundraising activities. We don't turn away dogs or cats on the basis of disposition or disability. The Friends of Animals Foundation supports local schools in their community service programs and a Pet Therapy program to assist patients in local hospitals.
