A Home for Cats saves the lives of pets in kill shelters throughout the South, that are in danger of being euthanized. We rescue the pets that need it most, those that are overlooked and less likely to be adopted in the short time they have at the shelter. These include older pets, pets with health issues and those that most people just walk right by. Once in our care they are Vet. checked, spayed/neutered, heartworm or combo-tested, fully vaccinated and flea & worm treated. All pets are cared for in foster homes of volunteers while awaiting adoption into approved forever homes. We take pets to weekend adoption events and also list them on Petfinder.com. We are a no kill rescue, so once we take in a pet, it stays with us until a new home is found, no matter how long that takes.
