HCEF works with 17 homeless shelters in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Pennsylvaniato ensure homeless children have equal access to the same educational experiences as their peers. We do this through our Learning Center - Resource Library Initiative, which supplies shelters with computers, professionally developed libraries, and online digital library subscriptions to provide hope through learning. HCEF serves about 3,000 children each year.
