The 22q13 Deletion Syndrome Foundation supports the families of children diagnosed with 22q13 Deletion, a rare chromosome disorder that causes severe developmental delays. There are over 500 families worldwide, and the major activity supported by the Foundation is a bi-annual conference where families and genetics researchers gather to share the latest information and provide geneticists the opportunity to study children with the syndrome. Financial contributions offset the cost of this conference. Donations are also used to fund research opportunities and to build an endowment fund. [view full description]
