The Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit educational organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code in September, 1970, to provide statewide 4-H program support and learning experiences for Arizona’s 4-H youth participants and youth and adult leaders. Today, over 130,000 young people participate in 4-H across Arizona. They are involved in over 100 programs and activities which range from in and after school programs on urban gardening, science, computers, and job-mentoring to traditional year-round clubs that focus on leadership, raising animals and baking breads for the fair, riding horses and training guide dogs for the blind. The 4-H Foundation continues promoting its mission in support of these programs by developing youth and adult potential, securing new resources, and expanding existing resource investments in 4-H.
