Taylor has been fighting an aggressive form on pedicatric brain tumor, ATRT, for since January 2004; over half of her precious life. Taylor received her chemotherapy and radiation therapy from St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, under the care of Dr. Gijjar. In March, 2006, Taylor's family received the devastating news that all her medical options were exhausted and they were advised to take Taylor home and enjoy her. The medical care Taylor now receives comes from Hospice. Medical bills have accumulated rapidly throughout the two years of fighting this horrible monster called cancer.
