HSSC is a private, non profit organization that provides care, shelter and love to about 4,000 abandoned pets each year. It is an open admission shelter: No pet is ever turned away. HSSC's services include pet adoptions, humane education, pet therapy, children's programs and a wide range of volunteer activities including dog walking and cat cuddling.
