Little Furries Rescue and Referral is Rabbit, Guinea Pig and other small animal rescue that not only rescues small animals but goes to area schools and educates children on how to properly care for their small pets. We also provide a free referral service for people who are trying to give up their pets, so we can keep more pets out of shelters. This rescue was started by one person, a 23 year old single mom and animal lover who made a small living for herself and her kids working at an animal shelter. She saw that small animals were often overlooked at shelters and did not always get the care that they needed. So she started this rescue in honor of all of the "little furries" who needed as much love as anyone else. And she wanted to keep them from being put to sleep simply because they weren't getting adopted fast enough or there was no room. Still to this day(not that long from when she started) the primary goal to her and her few volunteers is to keep pets out of shelters and into loving homes.
