Objectivist Center, The is just one of 35,000+ groups listed by members at iGive. Here's a little more detail on them, as provided by members or the organization itself:
Inspired by the work of novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand, The Objectivist Center (TOC) was founded in 1990 to advance the philosophical ideas and ideals of Objectivism in our culture and society, and to create an open community of people who share those ideals. We are crusaders for rational individualism, and a home for rational individualists.
With a budget exceeding $1 million annually, the Center supports original scholarship based on Objectivist principles, and also hosts a speakers bureau, a 24-page monthly journal for members, a mail order and publishing division, a website [www.objectivistcenter.org], and a host of public events. As a champion of reason and individualism, TOC conducts its work in a collegial atmosphere of free, open, and independent discussion.
The Center is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt educational organization. It welcomes support from individual members and private institutions, but neither seeks nor accepts government funding.
