Black Hills Boxer Rescue is just one of 35,000+ groups listed by members at iGive. Here's a little more detail on them, as provided by members or the organization itself:
We are dedicated to helping rehabilitate and rehome Boxers that have lost their homes through no fault of their own. We strongly support spay/neuter as a way to control the overpopulation of unwanted companion animals and spay or neuter EVERY Boxer that enters our program.
Thousands of boxers every year end up in shelters across the country. We in rescue try to keep up with the enormous numbers, but can only do so much.
Many of the boxers that come in to rescue have serious health issues that must be addressed immediately. We spay/neuter, vaccinate and treat any medical issue that presents itself. We have had boxers that needed major orthopedic surgery, cancer surgery, serious skin infections etc.
We try to battle disease in the future for these dogs by providing a highly nutritious diet and exercise. If we can improve a boxer's life we will do what we can.
