Why do I need to join first?
When you become a member, iGive.com is able to track and distribute the money you raise for your favorite cause through shopping and other bonuses. Your membership is completely free and totally private. You can support any cause, and you can change the cause you support at any time.
Is it free to join?
Yes. Today, tomorrow, and forever. Nor do you pay extra at the Mall at iGive.com (in fact, usually less). It's free for your cause too. Ain´t life grand?
Is my membership private?
Absolutely. We´re serious about our members´ privacy. iGive.com will never sell or release any information about an individual member to an advertiser or cause without permission from the member. The information you provide us will only be used in aggregate to show advertisers what kind of members we have (to get our members better deals!). An iGive.com advertiser will never contact you.
What causes can I support?
Any worthy cause close to your heart or home. Any worthy cause. That means your kid´s marching band, a local animal shelter, a theater troupe, breast cancer research, or a community food bank. You tell us where to send the money; we don´t decide for you.
Can I support a cause that's not on your list?
Yes! You can list any worthy cause you like. Just click the "Joining" tab and begin by providing your e-mail address. If you don´t find the cause you're looking for on our list, you can click to add a new cause and fire away. You'll need to supply a mailing address for the cause so we can contact and send them money!
Can I support more than one cause?
You can only support one cause at a time. However, you can change your cause as often as you like. You begin earning money for the new cause as soon as you complete the change.

Can family members join and use the same computer?
Yes, more than one iGive.com member can share the same computer. Each member needs to sign in when he or she visits the site to ensure that their cause receives proper credit. Use the "Login" link located near the top of the page to sign in. If you use Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or above, you can set up separate user profiles. This allows every member in your household to support his or her own cause, without having to login each time. If you experience trouble, wipeout your cookies (see below) and log in again.
Can I use a public computer?
Yes. When using a public computer, we recommend wiping out your cookies (see below) after you finish, as well as emptying the cache.
How do I wipeout my cookies?
Erase the URL in your browser window. Type in (or copy & paste) the URL below and press enter or the "Go" button on your browser.

What are cookies?
Cookies make your life easier. Cookies are a harmless, but very handy little mechanism by which you can be recognized every time you return to the site without logging in each time. Since most people browse the web via a personal computer, virtually every Web site on the Internet uses cookies to make accessing a site as quick and painless as possible. To protect your privacy, you cannot change any of your iGive.com account information without providing the password you gave at registration. How do I know you've sent the money to my cause?
As a member, you'll have access to timely reports of your earnings and all funds distributed to your cause. The "Check Report" allows you to see a list of all checks (with dates) sent to your cause. We even list the check numbers and amounts.
